Privacy Policy Addendum and SMS Opt-in

This document supplements the existing Zyntx.com privacy policy (https://zyntx.com/privacy) to reflect the new business and digital product Circles of Care, accessible at https://circlescare.app.
Circles of Care is a product and service operated by Zyntx Lab, LLC (https://zyntx.com), a California-based limited liability company. This document outlines the handling of personally identifiable information, specific policies related to SMS communication, and verification materials required for A2P messaging compliance with Twilio and U.S. carriers.

Zyntx Lab, LLC is the sole owner and operator of both domains. Circles of Care is a consumer-facing mobile app and digital product developed and maintained by Zyntx Lab, LLC.
3. SMS Opt-In Policy
3.1 Consent Requirement
We require explicit user consent before sending any SMS messages. Consent is obtained directly through the Circles of Care app during account registration, or when users send invites to others. By checking an opt-in box or confirming participation, users consent to receive SMS notifications about their account, care coordination tasks, and invitations.
3.2 Opt-In Language Example (available in the App Interface)
I agree to receive SMS reminders, invitations, and updates from Circles of Care. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
3.3 Message Types
We may send SMS messages for the following reasons:
– Care-related reminders (e.g., “Review your care log for the day”)
– Invitations to join a care circle
– Security notifications and account verification
– User-initiated messages from one user to another
No marketing content is sent without separate consent.
3.4 Opt-Out Mechanism
All messages include opt-out instructions. Users may opt out at any time by replying `STOP`. They may re-subscribe with `START`.

Twilio requires documentation of consumer consent and message flow for A2P 10DLC compliance. Below is a sample description of our opt-in experience and links to relevant policies.
5. Screenshots & Consumer Experience Description
5.1 Onboarding Flow
When a new user signs up via the mobile app:
1. They enter their name, email, and phone number.
2. A checkbox labeled:
[ ] “I agree to receive SMS updates and reminders from Circles of Care”
must be checked before proceeding.
3. Consent is stored with a timestamp in our backend (Firebase Firestore).
5.2 Invite Flow
When an existing user sends an invite to a new user:
– The sender enters the invitee’s email or phone.
– A message is sent to the invitee with a deep link to install the app.
– If the user installs and signs up, the same onboarding opt-in appears.
5.3 Example Message
> “You’ve been invited to join Alice’s care circle on Circles of Care. Tap to accept: https://circlescare.app/invite/abc123. Reply HELP for support, STOP to opt-out.”
